"service airbag" panel caution light illuminates. It goes out and comes on randomly. Dealer cannot find root cause and simply resets light to turn it off. There is a recall 2008-1013 Buick Enclave for this identical problem. This is on a 2014 model.

The contact owned a 2014 Buick Enclave. While driving into an intersection, the driver's side of the contact's vehicle was struck by an oncoming vehicle. The contact's vehicle spun off the road and landed in a ditch. The front end and driver's side of the vehicle were severely damaged. The contact was unable to recall the details of the crash. The air bags did not deploy. The contact was informed that the seat belt failed to lock and properly restrain him. The vehicle was towed and totaled. A police report was filed. The contact received injuries to the ribs, clavicle, and shoulder, which required medical attention. The approximate failure mileage was 40,000.

The contact owns a 2014 Buick Enclave. The contact stated that while driving at 5 mph and crossing train tracks, the train crashed into the contact's vehicle and the air bags failed to deploy. The contact sustained head injury and the front passenger sustained a knee injury that did not require medical attention. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to an impound lot. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 28,000.

Service airbag warning light was on for 4 days. Took car into Buick dealership, they said the light wasn't on and couldn't find a problem. The light was on when I dropped the car off that day. They had my car for 2 days. Got the car back on Friday evening, 2 days later the light is back on. There is a recall for this issue in 2013 models, but since this is a 2014 I wanted to make this known that it is a problem and may require a recall for the 2014 Buick Enclave.
