With the "shift to park" error, when I shut the car off, it stays in accessory mode and won't shut off or allow me to lock the car on exit. Jiggling the shifter usually doesn't work, I have to put the car in reverse and then back into park any number of time to get the error message to go away. This is very dangerous in parking lots and roadside parking. Also other drivers think your backing out and wait for your spot upon seeing your backup lights come on. Then they think you are screwing with them when you pull in again. Sometimes takes up to 3 minutes to eliminate the error.
