Appears to be a wide spread issue with GM transmissions since 2017. No recall, no real fix. Car will alert you that it is not in Park while the shifter is actually in park. The bad thing is that as long as you see the message, the car will roll when you take your foot off the brake. Attempting to shift it into reverse or park and the car will not move under power, then will suddenly jerk. Extremely scary. My wife refused to drive it.
At this point and issue after issue starting at 400 miles, I elected to dump the Envision for something more reliable (Honda Accord). Last Buick I will ever own. Maybe the last GM product since the transmissions are used across their lines.

Better off to stick with Honda or Toyotas.
