LaCrosse 3.8L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 112,000 miles

Girlfriend has '05 Buick La Crosse. Low beams quit. High beams work fine. Was told to replace relay marked #35, which I did. Made no difference at all. This is the 3rd time this has happened. Bulbs have been changed several times. Headlight switch on dash has been changed. This is becoming a major pain in the rear.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have always owned GM vehicles and have never had the problems that I have been having with my 2005 Buick Lacrosse. I have replaced the low beam relay twice, replaced both low beam headlamps and rear tail light bulbs. Now the counsel light is out and the dash, radio and odometer is going dim. I have also had to have the steering box replaced. What a Lemon!!!!!!!!

LaCrosse CS 3.8L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 115,500 miles

This is the seventh time in the last two months. On several occasions, it happened at night. I live in a rural area with curves, woods and utter darkness. On EVERY occasion, I had to try to stop where I was because I could not see anything. Only high-beams worked. After I mentioned it to my wife, then she told me of other times, when it happened to her and our son.

What's up with this?

This is the thing, About two years ago I lost my low beams and had nothing but high beams. I took it to the dealership and they replaced a module in the under hood fuse box, 6 months later it happened again and they did the same fix. Well it did it again and they wanted to replace the whole fuse box, at the tune of $800.00.

Well in the time I took it in the first time the warranty had expired, I ended up paying for it out of pocket. At that time I wrote GM and explained my problem and that it was not a normal wear and tear and if there was any kind of recall problem? They said no and your on your own. Now 2 years later I get a recall e-mail about an ignition problem and also mentioning the problem that I had with my lights. If this is the case I feel I should be refunded by GM for the repair. I do have the invoice of the work that I can provide upon request.Thank you for your time.
