I have been considering purchasing a newer LaCrosse, either a 2009 or 2010 but not if this terrible paint problem isn't fixed, as of now I have not gotten the warranty to cover it. I will not purchase another one unless they decide to fix it. The customer service at GM has been very slow to respond to my problem. How many other LaCross XL's are doing this? Are they going to fix this problem. I have seen many others like it with the same problem! I took it to a very good paint shop and they explained how the paint was delamanating/fading and put that in writing. They said the paint job was defective. The dealor had sent pictures to GM and they and GM both claimed something such as window cleaner or other contaminate caused it. I use to paint airplanes and know very well the difference between a crappy paint job and what contaminates will do to painted surfaces!!!!!
