Driving a distance of three miles car stalled five times. Started again each time dealership sold me a new battery three days later--acceleration quit, going down the road in heavy traffic. I engaged the accelerator with no response. Able to pull over and turn off key and then start again and proceed. Dealership told me that the computer showed no problem with the car. Two days later the car stalled in my mobile home park, started then stalled and wouldn't start. When I tried to start the car it wouldn't. then when I tried to start again and released the key, the starter grabbed the key and kept grinding momentarily. Then when I tried to start it the starter clicked as if it were gone. I parked it for the night and called aaa in the morning. The car started right up and was driven on to the truck.. I was told I needed two parts a starter and something else. That was on Monday. It's Thursday now and I'm waiting for another part. I was told the dimmer switch had shorted out and had been affecting the whole system. It is now Thursday afternoon and my part has been snowed in. There is none to ber had in the whole city of tampa Florida! I am a snow bird and am thankful I wasn't on the road to Michigan when this happened. Losing acceleration and/or stalling in heavy traffic is a very dangerous situation. By the way I didn't trust the century Buick dealership I had the aaa garage work on it this time. It cost me $300. The first time ) the second $0.but with no results. Now I'm in it for more that $400. Merry christmas.

The contact owns a 2007 Buick Lacrosse. When the contact started the vehicle, he smelled a rotten odor inside the passenger compartment. The odor of the rotten fumes is currently making the contact ill. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but they could not determine the origin of the odor. The ventilation system was cleaned and an anti mold cleaner was placed in the vehicle; however, the smell still persists. The contact called the manufacturer and was informed that no compensation would be provided because the warranty was expired. The failure mileage was 5,000 and current mileage was 27,000. Updated 08/21/09. A technican stated the odor was coming from the leather seats. Updated 08/26/09
