We own a 2009 Buick Lacrosse. It will be 7 years old in July, 2016. We have had to put new rotors on 4 times during this time frame. 3 in the last 2 years. New pads 2 years ago as well. We keep getting told we need new rotors because the car sits too long or we are not slamming on the brakes to wear off the rust. We live in Ontario, Canada. So we do have moisture for sure. We have been told even letting the car sit for a couple of days will cause rust to build up and if the rust isn't removed it will cause the rotors to warp. I have owned several cars in the past 50 years and never have I had to replace rotors every year. What the heck is going on.
