Over the several months, while driving, the Service Stabilitrak warning light comes on, then the ABS and Park Assist lights will flash on and off, and all my gauges (RPM, speedometer, temperature) start going haywire. While all these things are happening, the engine loses power and the car jerks. This doesn't happen every day, just whenever the car feels like it. On 3/18/16, while driving across Florida from the west coast to the east coast, I had the wonderful experience of this happening while on a two lane highway that had no safe place to pull off the road. A 2 hr drive turned into a 4 1/2 hr. drive because of the loss of engine power during the times my warning lights were flashing on and off and my gauge needles were bouncing up and down. The check engine light then came on and stayed on. Once I finally reached my destination, I didn't drive the car for two days and fortunately the drive home was incident free and the check engine light magically disappeared. I took the vehicle to Coral Springs Auto Mall, where I purchased it; showed the Asst. Service Manager a video that was taken of these events happening as I was driving and a letter I received from GM regarding possible throttle sensor problem that causes reduced power and cause malfuntion indicator lamps to appear and the car would be serviced by a GM dealer at no charge to me. The Service rep called me to say my problems had nothing to do with the letter I received from GM and that they were 90% sure that my fuel injector needed replacing, but couldn't find any other problems. SERIOUSLY?? I told him I want to get a second opinion so I immediately drove to our personal and very reliable auto mechanic that has serviced mine and my family's vehicles for the past ten years. He checked, but all the codes had been wiped out by the dealership's service dept. He told me, since it appeared to be okay for the time being, to drive it and if the problems happened again, to bring it to him so he can check the codes. I took my car to him on Sunday, May 1st, since last week, the same problems started occurring again and my check engine light came on. When my husband spoke to our mechanic today, he says he's baffled as to what is causing the problem. He drove the car twice...once it ran fine, but the second time, he got to experience what I've been experiencing with the warning signals, gauges going crazy, and the car jerking and losing engine power. Our mechanic STRONGLY believes there is no problem with the fuel injection system; that it's electrical and provided me with a list of codes the main brain spit out. He suggested we take the car to another Buick dealership service department to have it checked out. I have an appointment Saturday, 5/7, to have my car checked out again. THIS WILL BE MY THIRD TRIP TO A SERVICE DEPT TO FIX MY CAR!!
