PICTURE IS VERY POOR WHILE IN THE GARAGE. WHEN I BACK UP INTO THE LIGHT, THE PICTURE GOES ALMOST BLACK. I HAVE TO WAIT ABOUT 40 SECONDS FOR THE PICTURE TO COME ALIVE AND I CAN SEE THE STREET. THEN, WHEN I GO FORWARD, IT TAKES ABOUT 10 SECONDS FOR THE DISPLAY TO END
Update from Feb 4, 2014: Rear view camera is controlled by the sensor on top of the dash. If backing out of a garage into sunlight, and you want a good picture, you must hold a LED light for about 20 seconds and then back out. If you don't do this, the screen will be dark in the garage, get darker as you back out into the sunshine, go almost blank for about 30 seconds and then you will have a nice picture. Putting a pillow on the sensor will void the camera entirely. So, the camera screen is controlled by a flashlight and a pillow. Very good for a $39,500. car
