Purchased vehicle new Oct. 1998. 7/30/2000- Mileage 10,953 Rear brake drums replaced 05/16/2001 -Mileage 17,124 Replaced rear both wheel cylinders, brake shoes 02/11/2003- Mileage 25,642 Replaced rear wheel cylinders, brake shoes, machine drums $667.00 01/04/2005- Mileage 37,753 Replaced both rear wheel cylinders 05/15/2007- Mileage 48,245 Replaced left rear wheel cylinder, replace rear brake shoes, machine drums (initial diagnosis included both rear wheel cylinders-right wheel cylinder left as "we'll keep an eye on it") $507.93

Reason given by service manager "Vehicle isn't driven enough, cylinders dry up"

My complaint referred to Buick...Representative handling complaint said she had a response from an expert in the 'field' who concurred that cylinders dry up if vehicle is not driven enough. I asked "Who was the expert ?" She gave me the name of my dealer's service manager. Some Research?????
