About around spring time 2011, I felt the need to turn on the ac in the car but I could not get any cold air coming from the driver side, yet, the passenger side of the car was freezing cold, so I knew right there that it was not a compressor issue. I got the ac tested anyways and the mechanic told us that the left actuator went bad and was no longer controlling the vent on my side. Less than three months later, the other side did the same thing and ever since, we do not have cooling in the car. The ac system is fully charged and the discharge side of the compressor is very cold but still no ac. Besides spending a fortune on an 11 year old car, what now?

About 2 weeks ago, I noticed the A/C on the drivers side was blowing much warmer than the A/C on the passenger side. Had it check out by my mechanic, he replaced a switch, and that seemed to solve the problem for about 8 days. The same thing happened just yesterday afternoon at about 93 degrees outside with a 100 degree heat index with tons of humidity which you never get accustomed to in the south, nonetheless I was sweating bullets. About 30 minutes down the road, the passenger A/C started blowing hot air as well. I took it to Meineke this morning to find out that the compressor was leaking and it would cost between $700-$800 to fix. This is really a pain because its only going to get warmer and with 3 windows already not working and the drivers window about to give out as well, the last place I want to be is stuck without A/C and without the ability to let my windows down to start some form of air flow. As much as I love GM, I have had too many problems with their vehicles, and my next car will be a Honda or Toyota because I feel that my LeSabre isn't going to last me to 150,000 miles.
