The plastic shroud turbulence deflector under the engine underneath the car has broke several times. I believe this problem is a result of a manufacturers defect in the design of this car. This particular piece that keeps breaking is.......as I understand it, a shroud to minimize wind and improve gas mileage. I honestly feel the front end of the Buick Lucerne simply sits too low. Each time one goes over a small dip the bottom of the front end scrapes and as such, the shroud eventually breaks. This breakage has occurred 3 times now, By buying an American car, as I did this in 2006 (new) I thought I was doing the right thing. Now it is doubtful I will ever buy another Buick again, let alone another American made P.O.S. like this vehicle.
