While parking in the lot at the animal shelter, where I volunteer, it appeared as though the gas pedal was sticking and even though I was applying the brake the car would not stop. I was stopped only by the hillside that I ran into. The front of my car is damaged and I will be paying the $1,000 deductible on my insurance to have the car fixed. The main issue is that I or others could have been hurt badly. The car then appeared to run okay which means the mechanics will not be able to find the problem. Quite alarming as I will never know when it is going to happen again,
