problem #2

Lucerne CXL 3.8L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 56,000 miles

Had bearings replaced, both sides, on top of front struts AND 2 transmission lines replaced due to leakage, AND passenger side transmission shaft seal replaced and NOW wheels are deteriorating due to chrome cracking and aluminum flaking. Anyone, what else can I look forward to with this car?

Lucerne CXL 3.5L V6

Called Buick "Customer Care". They sent me to a dealer (Darcy Buick in Joliet, IL). The dealer said the car is out of warranty and I would have to pay for the manufacturer's defects. The car has ONLY 70,000 miles on it! If I knew the life expectancy was so SHORT, I would NEVER buy another Buick!

GM has SO many problems, they only give you the polite 15 minutes of their time and totally ignore the complaint! I will be looking at a NEW Nissan Maxima for my next car. Had one in 2002 and drove it for +90,000 miles with NO problems except for a few very minor ones that were immediately handled by Nissan. Maybe, there is better quality coming out of the NON Union plants with foreign ownership?
