The 1997 Park Avenue has poorly designed seats. The seat controls on both sides are held in place by a couple of small plastic tabs which break very easily. The seats themselves are built with plastic supports. The plastic well around the driver's seat controls split in half. The dealer and two upolstery shops advise me that the seats were poorly designed and that if I replace the broken parts, they will break again in the near future. They can't replace the plastic well with metal because the rest of the seat support is plastic and that will cause the seat support to break. I haven't been able to find a workable solution to the problem.
