The fuel gauge just stopped working one day. I called around to get an estimate on the cost of repair and found out that this is a common problem with Buicks and to fix it the gas tank has to be dropped out which is a significant labor cost and puts fixing what would normally be an easy fix at over $500. Thanks Buick. Way to go. I am not willing to pay over $500 to fix the fuel gauge. The low fuel light still works and I use that as an indicator of when to get gas. Will I buy another Buick when this one goes to the car graveyard? No.
