The contact owns a 1997 Buick Regal. The contact placed oil in the vehicle and noticed that the engine was on fire once he arrived home. The vehicle quickly became engulfed in flames and his neighbor extinguished the fire. The vehicle was destroyed by the time the fire department arrived. There were no injuries. The fire department filed a report. The VIN was unknown. The failure mileage was 200,000.

Buick Regals - 1989 and 1997 - the '89 blew a head gasket at 190,000 miles and the '97 after 141,000 miles and cracked both heads - with perfect servicing and care. No warnings - just heated up and immediately blew - but had never over-heated prior to blowing gaskets..
