This Buick Regal Model is a LEMON! 2011 Buick Regal 2.0 was purchased September 2021 with only 107,000 miles on it. My wife followed me home from the dealer and mentioned that the rear brake lights kept coming on while on the freeway. For reasons I won't mention here, I didn't start regularly driving the car for about 3 months, which was winter time. One of the repairs done to the car before I started driving it was replacing the vacuum pump, so I figured this is maybe why the brake lights were coming on, and after the new vacuum pump, the brakes seemed fine, until I noticed when going thru a drive through, that the pedal was sticking. It would remain about 1/2 inch depressed when letting off the brake.

Well, this problem has gotten progressively worse as the temperatures are getting warmer. I can tell when the brake pedal is sticking, when the cruise control won't work. If I pull up on the brake pedal with my left foot, it will stay up and allow the cruise control to work, until I have to use the brake pedal again. Now, every time I apply the brakes, I have to lift up on the brake pedal. I tried lubricating the brake pedal shaft where it goes thru the firewall, and it seemed to help for a few days, but eventually started sticking again. I don't want to pour more money into this LEMON, so I put a rubber band on the upper part of the brake pedal and attached it to the plastic under the dash to help the pedal return to the top. So far it's working great, until the rubber band brakes, but rubber bands are cheap.

When I bought this car the dealer had a normal title, but when the new title in my name came, it was a "Manufacturer Buyback" (LEMON) title. The State of Utah failed to record it as a Manufacturer Buyback title five years ago when it changed hands, now I'm stuck with the "LEMON" title with no recourse. I have since learned that this car was a "LEMON" in 2014 when the original purchaser took it back to the dealer. The list of problems it has is too long for this forum. It should have never been sold back into circulation. I'VE OWNED BUICKS ALL MY LIFE AND THIS ONE IS A MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT. BUICK DROPPED THE BALL AND HAS LOST MY LOYALTY.
