After changing the transmission, replacing the timing, the car started just shutting down at random times. I have read about this complaint numerous times but in my situation it is much more dangerous. I live in the Appalachian Mountains which means I have exactly 100 ft of straight road at any given moment. When it dies and you are in the middle of a large curve bad things can happen. Of course they could happen if I kept driving the car, it is now permanently parked because it has no warning lights on and I do not have the money for the garage to play exploratory surgery. GM sucks! Never again! I will ride a bicycle being pulled by a pack of wild dogs before I buy their crap!
