This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Buick dealer.
I am not sure what the problem is here. When taking off, the engine makes a rattles sound. It is very annoying to me. I was told that all the Regal Turbos make this sound. It is coming from the right side of the engine.

Where do I start with this piece of crap vehicle...I bought the Regal certified preowned, word mistake ever. Haven't had it two years and has been in and out of service. Firstly the starter went out around 55000 miles???? Secondly, I started hearing a HORRIBLE sound at start up, which I find out later that was chains that needed to be replaced, after researching I find that I have this special coverage for these bearing chains issue. SO fine I take it in and have the warranty work done, that's over, noise gone...
Then I notice its time for an oil change and soon as I start hearing these whining annoying sound that increases with acceleration. While this is happening whenever I would come to a stop sign or anything the car self accelerates to 1 or 2 rpm. Which is scary as heck I have two kids to drive around everyday this is horrible. Check engine light comes on...I take it back in, now I have a whole another diagnostic fee of $99 code comes up abt camshaft actuator solenoid or some bs, They run diagnostic and it comes back that I need to replace my Intake and Exhaust solenoid. $315!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! to replace WHY because my powertrain warranty EXPIRED FEB 2016 which sucks because currently I only have abt 66,000 MI but because that date came before 100,000 MI I can kiss that warranty goodbye.

SMH I CANT TAKE IT ANYMORE, you will think your doing a good thing buying American and a Buick at that WRONG!. I will never buy or lease a GM vehicle ever again, this is terrible. This is all problems happening in the same area of the CAM SHAFT which had work done with the "special coverage" but they aren't including these parts even though if you ask me I feel like that problem is why these Solenoid's are going bad. FML Currently they are replacing these Solenoid's I will keep you guys updated.
Update from Jul 27, 2016: Problem since then has not been resolved, currently at 72,000 miles right before oil change is due. Check engine light returns. Engine loses power and shuts off at stop sign, and also loses power while turning into ongoing traffic. Very dangerous, returning right back to GM dealership last repair of actuator was in April.

REDUCE POWER LIGHT IS ON AND THE CAR IS NOT DRIVEABLE
- D J., Detroit, MI, US
I've had this car for exactly two years this week and this is an on going issue since. It runs great most of the time but when I am close to due for an oil change, it starts running rough and the check engine light comes on. It starts out subtle, then gets worse over a short period of time. I then take it in for an oil change and it immediately runs much smoother as soon as I leave the oil change, and the check engine light goes off after a couple stops and runs great for a few months until my next oil change.
I did get a letter from Buick describing an issue with a rough engine in some models, but it wasn't a recall, so I am supposed to take it to the dealer to "fix" , and I pay for it, then supposedly get reimbursed. I stopped by the dealer and showed him the letter and he didn't know anything about it and didn't really seem all that interested, but said I can make an appointment and he would run a diagnostic and see what it tells him.
Has anyone else had this experience and what am I looking at?

We take our Buick for oil changes to our local dealer, we have mentioned the problem to the service agent. We get a response: "we can't duplicate the problem" hence they don't do anything! Im getting ready to take it in again and this time I won't leave the dealer without a solution.

This car has been in the shop over 45 days. I have had it cut off in mid speed scaring me to death. It has been jerking and making a loud rattling noise. The mechanic continues to put band aids on it and the noise subsides a few days and it returns making the car shut off many times.
The electrical has went out in the sun roof, seats, and adapter areas.
Now that I am at the warranty limit, I am being told that the car is on me to get inspected and fix for the same symptoms and problems i have had over a year.
I will never want another GMC car.

I am in the early stages but reading the other complaints on the site, I am quite scared. I can't believe the games GM and the dealers are playing with others in similar situation. Will update as my case develops. Thank you all for taking the time to do this. Its the only way to understand the games that are being played on us.
