Where to begin... I could go on and on about the P.O.S. that this vehicle has been since we bought it used with 56,000 miles on it. Bad wheel bearings, broken A/C, bad BCM, intake gaskets and now the head gaskets... However, the RDV started sucking down coolant about two weeks ago and hasn't lost its thirst yet. Early symptoms were overheating, erratic temperature readings, and severe rumbling/shaking when starting the vehicle. Apparently it is the combination of cheap head gasket material and the DexCool coolant. Solution is either scrap the vehicle or fix it and do not use DexCool. We bought this vehicle for around $8500 and have now invested over half of that cost in repairs over the last three years. GM has been useless, the dealership has been useless. From the factory floor to the lot this model is crap. Wish I had done better research on it. Rest assured GM will never get my business again. I hope there is another class action on the head gaskets because I'm on board. Unfortunately with the economy it's cheaper to get it repaired than buy again. Anyway thanks Buick for all the headaches you have cause me and my family.

Too bad 2002 was the worst year for Rendezvous. Big time expenses coming up, head gasket, lower engine intake manifold leaks ($1,218.92), engine oil pan gasket leaks ($1,041.00) R?R axle seal ($388.55) and other inspections items ($1,650.00) totaling $4,296.94.
Other problems over the years added up. Recall rear lower ball joints (no charge0 Replace ABS rear brakes ($617.62), Replace left outer tie rod. Passenger side mirror $0.40 plastic whell broke - repair cost $396.00. L?R axle seal replacement and coli springs replacement ($410.40) and R & R rear knuckles ($1,221.40). Oh well, we got 180,000 kilometer out of it.
As they say let the buyer beware.
Was looking at a GMC Terrain but bought a 2010 Ford Edge.

Yes, intake valves first then head gasket next. The intake valves were replaced in February of 2010 to the tune of $1200 and thought that would be the end of my problems, although I didn't have a good feeling. I was right! Now October 2010 head gasket replacement and no guarantee that the engine will last any length of time after paying another $1300 to $1400. This has been only the tip of the iceberg with this vehicle - unbelievable. I could have purchased three new vehicles over with the problems and associated costs, including, transmission, ABS, air condenser replaced X2, hubs, etc. The list goes on. To be perfectly honest if the vehicle didn't drive so nicely and wasn't so comfortable it would have been scrapped it a long time ago!! Boy what is this company thinking. I will never by another GM product again and I am not that old!!

Not only have I put in new head gaskets in my Buick Rendezvous once in 2006 but again in 2008 GM has really dropped the ball on this car for me. FORD is my next buy as I always shop North American to keep the work at Home.
