The contact owns a 2005 Buick Rendezvous. The contact stated that the lift gate would not open. The vehicle was not inspected by a dealer nor had it been repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and advised him that there was no entry into the vehicle from the lift gate. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000. Consumer stated switch falure. Updated 09/01/2011
