The contact owns a 2007 Buick Rendezvous. The contact stated that the vehicle emitted a strong fuel odor that permeated around and inside the vehicle. Upon visual inspection of the vehicle, the contact noticed that the fuel lines directly under the driver seat had excessively corroded. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing. The dealer stated that the entire fuel line would need to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 52,000. MA 10/15/2015 the consumer stated at some point, the fuel started dripping on his driveway. He immediately jacked the vehicle up and discovered the fuel line was leaking about a drop every second. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. An inspection revealed the fuel line along with the evaporator line needed to be replaced at a cost of $ $1,300. The consumer replaced the line himself and upon removing the line, it broke in three places. Updated 10/27/15.

I read the article about GM's possible faulty fuel gauge issue in the 4/30/2011 newspaper. I have a 2007 Buick Rendezvous cxl purchased as a GM certified used car from a local GM dealer. The fuel gauge wanders by 1/4 of a tank. While under warranty, I have been to several dealers about this problem about 5-or 6 times total and they have installed a new sender/gauge, reprogrammed the computer, updated the software and it still acts the same way. It is very annoying and I must always keep it above half full so I don't run out of gas. I was finally told by a service manager that they have had several complaints about the wandering gauge but it can't be fixed and I must just live with it. I am now out of warranty for this problem and am "living with it" until I sell it and buy another car, probably next year. I feel the Buick Rendezvous should be added to the list of problem vehicles.
