For months, almost 8 now, I have been to the dealership numerous times to have my 2005 Buick Terraza serviced for problems with the sliding doors. I have had the latch system replaced on the passenger side sliding door because the door would not shut and would continue to ding. Less than 8 months later I had the entire power door module and door contacts replaced on the passenger side sliding door. I also had the contacts replaced on the drivers side sliding door, and not even 2 weeks after being repaired the drivers side sliding door would not close automatically and when we manually closed the door it would ding constantly, even while driving! so another trip into the dealership to have it looked at and it seems I need to spend another $600 dollars to have the drivers side sliding door latch system completely replaced, apparently it was fine 10 days prior when I brought into the dealership, but the few times we used the door caused major latch issues. This year alone I have spent almost $2200 on the sliding doors (not including the $600 I will be spending once the latch is ordered and replaced), the dealership loves seeing me walk in because I have yet to spend less than $500 there at a time. My fuels lines had to replaced when the van was less than 3 years old, that is only after the dealership told me it was a the fuel sensor that needed replacing, $375 for that and when I got the van home I had to have it towed back to the dealership because, come to find out, it was never the sensor, but the fuels lines that were corroded and needed to be replaced, not covered under warranty either, because replacing fuel lines is considered wear and tear... yep after 3 years. I am wondering if it is the dealership I am taking my van to, or the van itself... I think its a combination of both. I am just completely frustrated.

The contact owns a 2005 Buick Terraza. The contact stated that the passenger side automatic sliding door would not unlock with the keyless sensor or the button. The contact was driving when the sliding door opened independently and was extremely difficult to close. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 47,308 the dealer traced the problem to a circuit. Updated 11/28/11

The driver's side sliding rear door on my 2005 Buick Terraza becomes loose and opens while driving. The door is locked when I start driving, but then becomes unlocked and I receive a warning that the passenger door is unlocked. If I am not able to pull over immediately to close the door it will come open because of the air load or the G forces while turning. This location happens to be where we have one of our car seats for our four children.

The sliding doors on my Buick 2005 Terraza do not work right and have came open during driving at 45 mph. The vehicle has been in the shop numerous times to fix the doors and they continue to have problems.

Continued problems with 2005 Buick Terraza minivan automatic doors that open on their own. Car had problems in warranty and now at 32000 and out of warranty since February, GM will as a gracious gesture pay for parts but not $500 labor. They claim no liability for this safety failure. This is the same problem that scores of other consumers are having with this class of minivan from GM.
