This problem has been occurring since I started my Lease back on 6/26/2013. It was temporarily corrected for a week when the GM Service Department stated that they checked all the wires attached to the radio unit. I haven't been able to drive the vehicle by choice since 6/2/2014 due to another problem that keeps occurring. That will be a new posting!

The screen will freeze, the music will not play and the touchscreen goes out of commission. I have tried turning off the radio, unplugging the USB wire and reconnecting it. I have restarted my iPhone and reconnected it. I have turned off the car to reset the radio and it was still frozen...Funny thing is, the car never throws a code or an idiot light.

Buick IntelliLink

This I will post twice since this has happened twice! (within a few days)

BRAND-NEW BUIK VERANO was picked up on Jan 09, 2013 in the PM with only 04 miles on odometer .... drove it home parked it, next day the "electronic' (Buick IntelliLink') stopped working, so did the radio & cruise control.

Drove to dealer on Jan 10th, they kept the car over the weekend... I was given a courtesy-vehicle. I picked up my vehicle on the 14th, drove home, parked-it. Turned off the ignition, the same problem the electronics of the 'Buick IntelliLink'' again stopped working.

Today is the 15th, Jan 2013 .... Went back to dealer, they kept the vehicle; again I was given a courtesy-vehicle. Was told that “I will be notified when to to come back to the dealer to pick up"..... there was another owner/driver waiting for service on another VERANO .. she told me that she has had many problems including what I was experiencing ever since she picked up her Verano! Up-dates as I get them ...

Update from Jan 25, 2013: I found out what was causing this problem without the help of GM even thought I am very sure they know of this problem but have told NO ONE at any dealership: The problem is caused by my CELL PHONE! For some strange reason, the tech people at GM when they where designing the electronics they did not allow for mismatched electronics of cell phones.

The cell phone that I am using was accepted by the SINC in of the radio, they joined. but after programing and turning off the engine, at start-up, the computer-program of the radio/telephone IntellLink within the Verano would be wiped out the factory programing, my cell phone's program would take over and the system would freeze!

Now I have to find out what cell phones are NOT comparable with my Verano! Otherwise, this is a great car, rides great!
