Was driving on the expressway just fine and then got into the suburbs... parked my car in the driveway to pick up my son... got back in the car, started it and "service power steering" came on... car then was on but wouldn't move. S*** just stalled like a stubborn brat that it is. This is the second time this has happened to me in a little over a year. Last time this happened I had to get my whole wiring system fixed apparently. I don't know what's wrong with it but I'm over it.

I was on an expressway last week. The traffic was all backed up, I was stopped for a moment, then the car stalled. Yes, my 2013 Buick Verano stalled in the middle of an expressway. The car behind me almost rammed my from behind when the traffic started up, and I was sitting there. Not a good feeling. This is a GM problem, and it needs to be paid for by GM. If I got hurt, I would definitely sue GM.

As I was driving home last night and came to a red light, the engine light came on and gave me a display that stated stabilitrak and then the dash stated "engine losing power". Then my car started shaking and the lights starting blinking and the car just shut off while it was in drive. I had to place the car in park and then restart it, hoping that I would make it home. Driving home, the car started making weird noises, shaking and putt putting around the corner. Once I made it to my house it shut completely off while I was pulling in the driveway. Again, I had to restart it to pull all the way in. This is DANGEROUS and absolutely UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!

I was slowing down coming up to a stop sign and lost my power brakes. i then noticed the car stopped running. I reported it to the company I purchased it from with no offer to investigate they said they haven't heard of any problems like this.

I have taken this car in for various problems but this one scares me. It has shut off on me twice now. No reason, just shuts off. I do not feel safe in this vehicle at all as I don't know when it will happen again. I have taken back to the dealer and they keep it for a week or so and just say that they can't duplicate it. Well, neither can I as I don't know when it is going to happen. I don't want to be another statistic.

While driving up a small hill at 30mph, a beep sounded. I checked the dashboard for a low fuel notification or some other alert. The dashboard was totally dark. The start/stop engine button was yellow. The engine had shut off while I was driving. I coasted to the side of the road, pulled over and put the car in park. I restarted the car without any difficulties. There were no indications of an issue, such as the check engine light. Both my hands were on the steering wheel when this occurred and I had 1/3 tank of gas. There have been no issues in the past 2 days.
Update from Jul 31, 2014: Brought to Buick dealer 7/30/14. They found nothing wrong with the vehicle

Many people have written that they have had the same problem with their Buick Verano shutting down while cruising along on the highway. I have had the same experience. No one, including myself, has any answers or suggestions. It would be nice if people would start talking about what can be done. We can share thoughts and develop a unified plan. The problem is very troublesome and could be dangerous. I have talked to my mechanic and he has no clue except to say it must be something to do with a computer signal. Any ideas out there?
