This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Cadillac dealer.
My cue system became unresponsive to touch. This was after previously having it repaired under warranty. Since my warranty had expired, I was charged a fee for diagnosis ($150) and was told the repair would cost around $1,000. I searched the internet and found that this is a common and costly issue with the CUE system and I was able to find a solution for a "hard reset" of the system.

My cue infotainment system began to be inoperable and having freezes and dead spots. It occurred JUST before my warranty expired, so the diagnosis and repair was covered AFTER I ranted to Cadillac corporate.

My cue system does random things such as set its own favorites, changes my station, change my screen display, and then become unresponsive to touch. This is now the third time I am going to have to have the system diagnosed (costs money), and potentially repaired (cost major money). The first time the system became unresponsive I was fortunate to be just at the end of the warranty period. The second time, the dealership wanted me to pay close to $1,000 but I was able to look online and find the hard reset instructions which worked for a while but are now no longer working. I contacted Cadillac and they basically told me they would not promise me they would do anything to offset some cost but I have to go to a dealership to have it diagnosed.
