This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Cadillac dealer.
Was in a funeral procession and the car started to lurch, engine revved by itself every light on the dash went apeshit. This bounced like I had hydrolics on the car. Managed to get to the dealership. They had it 27 days. I found out from another dealer this was happening a lot and the parts were back ordered.

This 2013 ATS has been in the shop for 86 days since lease began in 2012. Two engine failures at 15,000 and then 18,000 miles as well as numerous electrical and Cue issues. My daughter and I were stranded in Pittsburgh for the second engine failure. The dealer would not provide a loaner thus we missed the college interview process at Carnegie Mellon.
I cannot say enough how unreliable and disappointing this supposed luxury car is. We are now entering legal proceedings with GM. Cadillac's boast about this car being equivalent to a BMW 3 series is complete nonsense. THERE IS NO COMPARISON! Our dealer, Don Gooley Cadillac, was useless and now is not returning calls to get a loaner yet again as the Cue is still blanking out when hitting a bump. This causes the entire HVAC and steering wheel lights etc to not work. Dangerous, as you can't see any info on Cue dash.

Worst vehicle that I've ever owned. I bought my Cadillac ATS-4 used, with 112K miles on it. It seemed like this would be a great daily driver to save on gas, as well as being an AWD car here in the Northeast. WORST MISTAKE EVER!
It's a 2013 vehicle that came with a full Carfax breakdown, showing that it has been well taken care of. I have a 2 year warranty on the vehicle and NO ONE in my area can fix the car. So far, it has been to 2 different repair shops who state that this is a Cadillac issue. The CEL came on, flashing. The vehicle violently shook and wouldn't drive past 40 MPH. The Stabilitrak warning came on, as well as the Stability Control warning also, stating that the Traction Control was now turned off, as could not operate.
This is the last straw with this vehicle, and I will never again purchase another GM product, especially Cadillac. I had the vehicle less than a year and have had nothing but issues - No boost, multiple engine codes, the auto headlights wont balance themselves out, brake issues, and don't get me started on this horrendous suspension. I feel like the car was good for 3 months (seeing as I drove this vehicle only 15 miles a day, 5 days a week). Kind of sad that my 1989 BMW 325IX is more reliable than a 2013 GM product. I wouldn't recommend this vehicle to anyone.
