This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Cadillac dealer.
This appears to be a typical transmission problem previously reported by several consumers. When accelerating between 25 and 35 MPH the transmission shudders and shakes the entire car. Engine RPM is in the 1000-1500 range when this occurs.

Bad vibration from transmission or torque converter.
Update from Apr 24, 2019: Called cadillac dealer. Their going to change the transmission fluid on Monday the 29th. They said that should fix the problem. I keep you posted.

Sometimes violent (hard) upshifts and downshifts, violent shudder when accelerating, not hard acceleration just normal around town under 40 MPH acceleration. Like slipping, shudder, vibration, very very unsettling on such an expensive car.

When driving my car in low gears you can feel the car auto shift into next gears causing the car to shake hard. It is hard to describe that part. Also, gears started to have delay in shifting after the first year. I have asked to have it checked several times when Im at the dealership. However, they say nothing is wrong with it when clearly there is something wrong. Also, when you press the gas pedal its almost like it vibrates with hesitation.

First off, we were looking for a new car, we saw the new 2016 Cadillac ATS4 sedan, we try it we love it and the deal was good. After a while about 8000-9000Km, the check engine light came on, went to the dealer and they said they just reset it. About the same time the transmission started to shake and rocking, went again to the dealer and they reset it again. It didn't change a thing, went back to the dealer and they change the oil and filter. After a few thousand of Km later, the transmission started to do it's thing again and not only that, all the electrical shut down, no more radio, defrost, AC etc... back to the dealer again. Enough of that CANCER of a car, we're gonna trade that piece of junk.
Update from Jun 15, 2017: they all fix it, we'll keep it for a while and see

The shaking was mild when purchased Pre-owned in 2019. The shaking has become much more pronounced over time. At first it was just when hitting 40 mph under mild acceleration; now it occurs when hitting 30 mph and then again at 38-40mph, and I have noticed it beginning to occur at 47-50mph.
I have asked the Cadillac dealer about it and they said it not uncommon in some GM vehicles. They were not concerned; although when it happens, it is disturbing to feel in the shifting.
