The color started to fade in the dips on my wheels like it was peeling off. I brought it to the dealerships attention because I also had to buy a new wheel bc valet had hit a curb with one wheel. Dealership informed me that because my car was so new that they could not get the wheels yet.
I called faithfully every month, and during this time those little spots on my wheels because larger. Each rim cost almost $700, and I agreed to pay for one but the others had to be covered under warranty. I do not live where we have bad weather or salted roads, and my car goes for a good detailing every month, and I clean it every week. However, it took me almost 2 years of asking about my rims and the entire things was peeling.
I had to write letters to GM complaining that I cant even get work done on a warranty nor buy the replacement wheel that valet dinged. A lower level manager contacted me, and pretty much said she cannot replace the wheels but I can take cheaper ones that looked nothing like my original ones. This did not make me happy, and she offered me a $100 coupon for future services not parts. I took it even further, and went to the owner of the dealership. Because I was treated so badly he got those wheels for me, and had them overnight. This is a very common issue with those pretty alloy wheels, be warned.
