Car was acquired in February and scraping noise in front brakes was noticed in May. Waited to see if the noise would go away by itself but became louder and took to Cadillac dealer, miller Cadillac in ellicott city md telephone 410-750-1100 on July 30. I was told the mechanic could hear the noise but could not identify the source. He called GM and they told him there was tech bulletin #pic6290C instructing the mechanic to tell customer the noise is normal does not affect safety or reliability of the car but would not tell the mechanic the cause of the noise, which is getting worse! however the tech bulletin states the cause was detected and corrected on October 30, 2017! the issue obviously is not corrected and is not going away. I am concerned the car is not safe to drive especially since GM would not tell the technician the cause so I can monitor it. The brake noise occurs on all roadways whether fast or slow whether turning or straight as confirmed by the local mechanic. Why won't GM inform owners and mechanic so they can assess the problem and undertsand the driving risk?
