problem #4

Jul 202015

CTS LX 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 141,000 miles

It won't do any good. The CTS is an extremely dangerous car. The dealerships wash their hands of them as soon as they're off the lot (KIRK AUTOMOTIVE Grenada Mississippi) or they keep the car 4 weeks and charge $240 for a $25 part and $1000 labor for something I changed in 15 minutes.

CTS

  • Automatic transmission
  • 125,000 miles

After the dealerships "fixed" this issue with a new PCV and oil filler cap, they said I would not have a freeze up problem again. However, I was driving along the interstate and found myself stranded at a gas station for 4 hours. Cadillac says they have a fix, but they do not.

problem #2

Jan 102006

CTS

  • Automatic transmission
  • 95,000 miles

The car's PCV did not successfully drain excess water and in the cold, Iowa temperature it froze. The pressure this caused resulted in the valve cover blowing and oil leaking all over the engine. The dealership said this is a service bulletin and the problem would be fixed.

The car froze for the 3rd time in three years. Cadillac has a horrible problem that seems to have been transfered to the '08 Escalade. I am dumping this car and heading straight to the Ford dealer!
