My CTS normally has a fairly deep sounding exhaust and decent power. there was just recently a blizzard and i had left my car outside. the snow managed to get under the hood and cover the engine and also got inside the wheel wells. the first time i drove it after the blizzard i noticed it was significantly slower than before when i would accelerate and also had a high pitched whine. not sure how to fix this, or the source of the problem...
