As I was driving on the highway, at 60 mph, my sunroof, which was closed, flew off of my car! no warning. No reason to do so. It just flew right off. Thankfully, no-one was hurt and everyone was able to move out of the way. I was driving West on 90 right before the lagrange rd/301 exit in Ohio.

The contact owns a 2004 Cadillac Cts. While driving approximately 75 mph, the glass moon roof suddenly separated from the vehicle and blew away. Prior to the incident, the moon roof was in the closed position. The cause of the failure was not diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. This incident was the first of 5 times that the trunk lid, when completely opened, blew shut on my head. My boyfriend has been hit 2 times. When it's open all the way, it's at an approximate 90 degree angle and the least amount of wind will cause it to blow shut. The trunk lid itself is extremely heavy and I'm fairly strong. I actually have scar tissue on my head from being hit. I didn't seek medical attention but there were a couple of times that I was almost knocked out. I love my car and would get another Cadillac Cts in a heartbeat if it wasn't for this problem.
