The contact owns a 2005 Cadillac Cts. While driving approximately 55 mph, the brake pedal traveled abnormally to the floorboard when it was depressed. The brake pedal required excessive force and the brake fluid warning indicator illuminated. The contact stated that the vehicle's stopping distance was delayed due to the failures. The failures occurred on multiple occasions. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the brake hose-tube interface was leaking and the hose needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer stated that the VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 10V105000 (service brakes, hydraulic). The failure mileage was unavailable.
