The contact owns a 2006 Cadillac Dts. The contact stated that the exterior brake lights failed without warning. Nine months prior, the brake lights were replaced for the same failure. The vehicle was taken to crest Cadillac where the failure was not diagnosed; however, they stated the brake light needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to NHTSA. The failure mileage was approximately 121,000.
