I have been reading reviews and complaints and I cannot believe that Cadillac has not sent a bulletin to owners telling us how to get this obviously defective (safety) brake light replaced.
There is a reason the high mounted brake lights are required but when they do not operate or do not operate correctly there is a potential safety issue with following traffic.
The part is evidently not manufactured / designed with a plastic that will stand up in temperature changes and UV. The very fine cracks are only noticeable when you remove the LED module from the deck lid (Trunk) which is relatively easy to accomplish. LED lighting products normally last for years but not the Cadillac taillight.
I'd like to hear a definite reply from Cadillac Motor division or GM safety people.
