The contact owns a 2000 Cadillac Deville. While driving approximately 40 mph around a curve, the steering wheel seized without warning. The failure occurred on numerous occasions. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic. The technician stated that the power steering failed and the power steering pump was in good condition. In addition, the ignition switch became loose and had not been repaired. The vehicle was included in NHTSA campaign number: 14V355000 (electrical system). The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was unavailable.
