An article in today's wall street journal indicated that the NHTSA is conducting an investigation into possible General Motors car defects. Notably difficulty in the power steering making a left hand turn. My 2000 Cadillac Deville, with 60,000 miles is experienceing just such an issue. I took the car into columbus Cadillac and they said I needed a new steering rack - the installation of which would cost $ $1,300. The car steers fine in making a right hand turn but is extremely difficult in making a left hand turn. I encourage your review of this matter for a possible recall, for there is no excuse for this safety issue to arise at such mileage- the vast majority of which has been highway mileage..
