The contact owns a 2003 Cadillac Deville. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to start and the anti-theft warning indicator illuminated. The contact was able to restart the vehicle, but the failure recurred and became progressively worse. Recently, the battery had to be disconnected in order to stop the horn from sounding due to the failure. The VIN was included in NHTSA campaign number: 14V355000 (electrical system); however, the part needed for the repair was unavailable. The dealer was not able to provide a specific date as to when the parts would become available. The manufacturer was notified. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 100,000.
