Airbag light kept coming on when the car was turned on. Sometimes this would stay on for 1 or 2 minutes. Called the dealer and they said it was not on the recall. When told them what it was doing, they said not to drive it & get a loaner. I have to pay $1300 to have this fixed. This should have been fixed by the company not by me.

My fianc and I were driving on the meadowbrook pkwy when another driver decided to exit and then re enter the pkwy causing the car in front of me to stop on the parkway, while stopped there for no more than 30 seconds a car hits us in the rear of the car causing us to hit both cars in front of me, what I do not understand is why my air bags did not deploy? this could have stopped some of the injuries my fianc and incurred because of the accident.

Engine began to leak oil after 40000 miles. The company and dealership assured me this was normal. Longer I operated this car, more it began to leak. At first few drops, then later, 1-2 qts between oil changes. Today, it is worst. I have spent several thousand dollars related to this engine. The leaks continue to this date. Engine stopped once on me, shut off, nothing worked. No airbag, any electrical service. Hit hole in road and everything shut off. Called company many times, wrote to president, other executives all to no avail. There are many Cadillac Deville with same leaking problem, the northstar engine has this problem since 1998, on all their models. It is like the key, they will do nothing until made to correct it. I hope you follow through, this is not right and cause many problems with deep expenses for owners.

Driving my daughter from school on I 95 in Connecticut near stamford at approximately 12 midnight, and noted chimes related to safety alerts following a particular strong bump in the road. First alert was that the ABS and suspension system was inactive, next airbag was not functioning and then electrical charge was low. Attempted to find a safe place to stop the car; eventually all warning lights came on and all systems in the car began to fail - could not open windows, could not contact onstar, lights inside the car, speedometer, hazard lights, turn signals and the headlamps. Eventually used street lights to guide us to exit on I 287 in white plains, NY. Once we found a safe spot off the road, we turned off the car, because we did not know what the issue was ("engine, ?fire risk, "would power steering / brakes fail next). Car towed at ~10 am to local Cadillac dealer.
