On November 21, 2007 I received a recall for 1995 Eldorado Cadillac fuel rail construction cracks or deteriorates causing fire in the engine compartment. On novemebr 23, 2007 10:00am drove car 6 miles to shopping center parked car went in came out started car would not start im immediately back fired and went up in flames. From under the hood to back seat. The car is not repairable. GM has not done anything to correct the problem which is my loss, leaving me without a vehicle for nearly four months.

NHTSA recall 04V110000 concerning fuel rail tubing. After having the fuel rail replaced consumer noticed fluid leaking from underneath the vehicle. Consumer tool vehicle back to the dealer for inspection, and mechanic determined that the fuel regulator needed to be replaced.

Vehicle continued to experience problem with the fuel rail after the vehicle was serviced for NHTSA recall #04V110000. Dealer stated that there was nothing they could do, and that they replaced the component indicated in the recall. One week after the repair the vehicle cut out and the consumer smelled gas fumes, the vehicle was taken to the dealer and they added a clip.

While driving consumer smelled a gas odor coming from the vents. Consumer pulled over, lifted up the hood, and noticed that gasoline was leaking from the hoses onto the engine. Consumer contacted the dealer, and mechanic consumer that this vehicle must come in for inspection.

Consumer was driving 45 mph on the high way, when a strong smell of gas entered inside of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who discovered that left fuel rail was cracked. The fuel rail was made of low impact plastic. Manufacturer had not been informed of the problem.
