My 2000 Cadillac Eldorado has had the "camshaft positioning sensors" replaced 3 times since I've owned the car (2000).although GM has "tsb"'s out for this problem they claim mine is not covered because the VIN # is not the same as the one indicated on this particular "tsb" same car----same trouble !!!!!!!.they will not honor it. This seems to me like saying "we'll fix the blue ones, but not the black ones". this is my 3rd Cadillac------& my last !!!!!!!!!!

2000 Cadillac Eldorado engine failure and Cadillac customer assistance center's lack of response.** answer required*** weeks after purchase, the A/C and the drivers side power window had become intermittent. The consumer heard a metal on metal crunching noise. The vehicle stalled. The consumer looked under the vehicle and saw several pieces of metal scattered on the road. It was determined that the engine seized because one of the connecting rods experienced an internal failure and crashed through the back of the engine block. The battery was replaced a year ago and had died again.
