Driving on the I10, semis all around, driving about 65 mph. My daughter and her friend in the vehicle. All of the sudden it felt like I hit a wall. All power went out, lost all speed, when the power flickered back on, lights only no speed, all the dashboard was lite up, everything was making a sound, the vehicle kept going from D -drive to P-park, the RPM were maxed- yet no speed. At 51K I noticed the vehicle shifting hard and took it in to a Cadillac dealership, thousands of dollars later, it has continued to do the same thing, just two days ago 2-7-15, it is still doing the same thing. Many times I have been in danger of loosing my life, am not exaggerating. My vehicle has only been touched by the dealership for all of its services and repair. This vehicle is extremely unsafe for driving. I have a book of all my service record documenting the same issue over, and over...........................................again. According to my research there are thousands of people experiencing the same problem, and Cadillac just sits back, probably waiting for loss of lives.

The contact owns a 2007 Cadillac Escalade. When it rained, water would leak around the sunroof. The water leaked into the side curtain air bag. The dealer stated that the drain hose was not originally installed; therefore, they installed the drain hose and replaced the side curtain air bag. While driving 50 mph, the vehicle downshifted into second gear and began to spin. The check engine light illuminated. After it finished spinning, the vehicle stopped. The contact could not accelerate past 30 mph while driving home. The dealer stated that the range switch in the transmission failed, but the cause of the failure was unknown. The dealer replaced the range switch. While driving 25 mph, the vehicle surged forward. The brake pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle would not slow down for 3-4 seconds. The vehicle was not diagnosed for the failure. The failure mileage was 3,000 and current mileage was 27,850. Updated 4/2/08 updated 04/02/08
