Purchases a brand new 2016 Escalade Platinum. First day I had it the transmission sounded like it was grinding and jumped out of first gear. Set an appointment at my local Cadillac and they said the transmission was bad and had to be replaced. Ed Morse Cadillac manager said they were doing me a favor for replacing a 15k transmission. When you spend a 100k for a new vehicle you are doing no one a favor by having to get it fixed. This is my 5th Escalade I have purchased. Do you research before you purchase a vehicle from Ed Morse. I would never purchase a vehicle form Ed Morse. They should of took vehicle back and swapped with a new one. Vehicle I purchased was brand new. I'm dealing with corporate GMC now to get resolved. Ed Morse also did not do a PDI on vehicle before I purchased. If they did they would of realized it was a bad vehicle. Nothing positive to say about ED MORSE.

When braking the transmission gives a sudden push & makes a bang. It feels like the car is trying to get away from itself. This happens during downshifting only.
No time in particular when it occurs.
This happened on the loaner car as well (Cadillac Escalade 2016)
