My front passenger side brake keeps locking and overheating. I have replaced the calibers 2 times, my brake pads 2 times and the brake hose all in a period of 3 months. My back rear brake light also gets stuck and stays on after i put my car in park and turn off my car. In order for me to release it, I have to press down firmly on the brake pedal and or restart the car, drive around put it back in park and then press down firmly on the brake pedal for it to turn off. The back rear light staying on and the front passenger brakes overheating happen intermittently multiple times throughout the day or week with no particular pattern. When my front passenger brake overheats, it begins to smoke and shake/vibrate violently which causes me to have to pull the car over and wait about 15min for it to cool down before getting back on the road. No ABS lights, no Engine lights come on, only a message pops up on my dashboard that says "Breaks Overheating" and then it goes away on its own after 15minutes. I see that your website has a preliminary announcement but there should be a recall on this issue. on 9/9 I went to Radley Cadillac on 3421 Jeff Davis Hwy Fredericksburg VA 22401 for a diagnostic & they stated that my Brake Pedal Arm, EBC and BPMV need to be replaced b/c it keeps engaging & locking my front passenger brake. I also went to another repair shop for a 2nd opinion on 9/10 & paid another diag fee they stated the same thing, 4637 Mine Rd, Fredericksburg, VA 22408 that the brake pedal arm will need to be replaced first as to they believe this is the underlying issue and the code C0161 was present. I was quoted over $2800 - $3500 to get this job done. Neither establishments mentioned this service announcement https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2018/MC-10141352-9999.pdf, i found this on my own by researching and googling this problem. I am asking that you deem this is a safety issue as to this involves braking and the safety of my vehicle. thank you.

Brakes stiff when pressed on, but won't slow down right away. Have to push hard really fast to come to quick stop. Usually after just starting up the vehicle and beginning to back up. Since I purchased it (used) in July 2019

The brakes randomly fail. When depressing the brake, it will be spongy and the pedal will go all the way to the floor without fully stopping the car. If the brakes are pumped, they usually return to normal. When researching this online, it became apparent that this is a common problem, and after speaking to Cadillac, my impression is that they are not proactively trying to solve this potentially life threatening design flaw.

My car was going 70 on the interstate and the reduced engine power signal came on and my car jerked and started powering down. It was a throttle body issue. Now my cars electrical system won't work, and electronic stability control won't work because of small magnets that had poor design. My car windows don't open. The electrical system shuts of while the car is driving and I can't see my steering panel at all.

Took vehicle into GM Chevy dealer today for tire rotation and oil/filter change. No other issues. Dove vehicle home and noticed two lights on dashboard; ABS and stabilitrak. Also message on dic indicating to service ABS. No issues before dealer service.

The brake pedal does not fully reset after being depressed. This causes the rear brake lights to remain on while vehicle is in motion, but brake is not actually being applied.
- Findlay, OH, USA
When it is warm outside (above 75) when the brakes are applied, the pedal does not return to the neutral position, and the brakes are still engaged. We have to pull up on the brake pedal, and it comes back to neutral.

Went to stop on four separate occasions (so far) and my brake peddle went to the floor. Had to run out of my lane to miss the car in front of me......very dangerous!!! mileage 134,000
- Cohutta, GA, USA
The vehicle switches to stabilitrac and ABS at the same time causing the engine to not shift into the next gear. This causes the transmission to be over Ram and I have to stop the vehicle completely and put it into sport mode and manually shift the gears in order for it to shift gears. The vehicle is in motion at the time of transmission not shifting correctly into the next RPM.

Brakes are constantly locking up as I drive down the highway. The lights are defected. I've replaced the bulbs numerous times but you still can't see how to drive at night time. Also, something is wrong with the rear suspension.

Two incidents that endangered my life as well as others. Vehicle with 26,000 miles driving on interstate at 65 to 70 mph all of a sudden vehicle stops computer says engine power reduced traffic behind was lucky able to avoid hitting me. Second incident last week on interstate traffic all stopped due to construction I have little to no brakes fortunately I was able to swerve off to my right situation very very dangerous.

Moisture in drivers side headlight due to broken seal. Manufacturer/dealer known issue with these vehicle's causing difficulty seeing at night which is a safety hazard. New headlamps burn out prematurely and can happen at anytime unexpectedly. Also, stability control light randomly comes on, ABS light always on.

Driving to work, went to stop at a red light, "no" brakes. I pumped the pedal a couple of times, finally attained enough pressure to stop the car. There were no signals, warning indicators noting to warn me of the stopping ability of the car. The previous day, the car was fine, good solid brake pedal. Took the car to the dealer, the car was inspected, fluid levels fine. Dealer suggested to bleed the brake system for entrapped air. I thought this was extremely strange. Also recommended the front brake pads were 60% gone, should be replaced. I followed the dealers recommendations, and the car responded, everything is fine now except I could have been killed or others injured by this failure.

While driving my wife had to push brake pedal further down to engage the brakes to slow or stop. Problem came on relatively quickly. Took to shop. Diagnosed as a leak in power brake booster. Also, the hood release mechanism in passenger compartment broke, making release of hood very difficult. Dangerous in case of emergency requiring access to engine compartment.
