Car wouldn't start in a parking lot. Scrolling error message were, ME remote detected, Barrera saver active, service stabilititrak, service rear axle, etc. etc. Just about every possible diagnosis/warning was displayed. Car was towed to dealer. They replaced fuse block and checked key fobs. Promised it would run. We drove to another city for dinner and when we came out it wouldn't start. Called Cadillac service and had to wait an hour and a half for a tow truck. It was beautiful weather so no reason for the long delay. I can imagine waiting on a snowy day.

The service department was closed but we were able to secure a loaner after a very uncomfortable ride squished in a tow truck. We told the service department that we were having the same problems and getting the same random messages. They checked the car out and decided that it was probably the phone charger (that we do not use) that was unplugged in the car that caused interference with the electrical system according to them ,just having such a device in the vehicle would cause it not to start even if it is not plugged in. Has anyone ever heard of such a ridiculous theory?

I did call the original dealer that sold us the car 22 months ago. He told me that they just sell them and they don't make them. He could do me a favor and take it in trade at wholesale pricing but they really don't want a car that is trouble. He offered to trade it for a used Lexus that he had on the lot. He gave me an offer that would cost above book value for the Lexus and wholesale price for the SRX financing at 6.9% (I currently have 0 % financing) and a five year loan when I have 26 months left to pay on the Cadillac. But he did remind me that my Cadillac purchased there less than two years ago was unreliable. Such a deal!
