The car is swaying back and forth at speeds above 50 mph on good roads. Had mechanic look at it and he said shocks were good and everything looked fine. After researching on internet I found that others had a problem with the rear toe link adjuster. So I looked at mine and found it loose but the nut has not backed off. I think it has rusted and is slipping in the threads. I can send a video showing how loose it is when I push it up and down. If you want to see what a part looks like "before the accident" please contact me tomorrow, April 12, before I get it replaced. We are afraid to drive it. You need to see it as is because this is exactly what you are investigating.

The contact's aunt owns a 2011 Cadillac Srx. The contact stated that while her aunt was driving at 25 mph, the vehicle independently accelerated without warning and hit a tree. The air bags did not deploy upon impact. The contact's aunt was taken to the hospital and treated for injuries to her left hand, head and chest. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed by her insurance to an independent mechanic for an investigation. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was given a case number. Upon her own investigation, the contact linked her aunt's failure to NHTSA campaign number: 14V571000 (suspension); however, the manufacturer informed her that the recall had been serviced at labadie Buick GMC(711 S euclid ave, bay city, mi 48706) in 2014. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 96,000.

Front struts making bouncing noise. On instrument panel it states service rear axle. I took my car into elco Cadillac they told me I should replace struts every 60-70,000 miles "????????" aslo the service rear axle they claimed was the sensor shorting out. So they replaced rear differential clutch control module and solenoid. They said solenoid valve stuck. My cost $1400 the day I picked it up the same [xxx] message appeared (service rear axle) "?????????????????? I brought it right back ? they have lost all of my trust ! my car has only 77,000 miles on it. Also they told me that nobody had the part. They checked all of Cadillac throughout the usa and said they will try to locate one. Next thing I know they received the part but it came in broken" so they reordered from GM I don't believe much of what they say now. My car is over there probably so they can figure out how to remove the service rear axle code! parts of this document have been redacted to protect personally identifiable information pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

Problems with completion/documentation of two recalls: My dealer (hendrix Cadillac, durham nc) claimed today, 14 Nov 2014, that they had already resolved NHTSA recall 14V571000 (GM 14457) on the rear suspension of my car on 02 Oct 2014. However, I only got the recall notice in early November, when GM's letter said that parts wouldn't be available until at least 10 Nov 2014. (report date is late Sept 2014.) on 02 Oct 2014, the dealer had told me they had that day resolved NHTSA 14V447000 (GM 14271) on the front seat adjusters of my car. Today the dealer tells me that recall is still pending for lack of solution, even though the report date was July 2014. Have they mixed up the two recalls? I am concerned that my car is not safe.

I pulled out of a parking spot and then suddenly my car jolted to a stop. I had heard a snapping noise and the car wouldn't move forward or backwards. I looked at my tire only to find it was bowed in towards my car instead of away from it since the wheel should have been turned away from the car. Upon further review the tire rod had snapped. If the tire rod could easily snap as I was simply pulling out of a parking spot then it could have easily snapped while on the highway which would have resulted in injuries to myself and my child.

Rear suspension over the smallest drop in pavement smoothness causes heavy noise which feels like it's bottoming out, the noise is extremely loud and disconcerting. All passengers so far have commented on it. Cadillac says this is normal (the bottoming out sound) this is definitely not acceptable for a car of this cost. It's driving me up the wall waiting for the next bang !!!
