SRX AWD 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 55,000 miles

I love the SUV but it has too many problems, from leaky headlights that have not been recalled, wheel bearings being replaced before time (only at 55k miles) and the transmission jerking and clunking in low gears (2nd and 3rd) when accelerating! I took the SUV for a transmission flush but the mechanic refused to do it as he claimed that doing so would exacerbate the issue.

GM should repair or replace the transmission at no cost, as there are only 55k miles on it. I have used it sparingly and it has always been serviced by the dealer. Unfortunately its been over 5 years since I've owned it! (7 and half years.)

  • Automatic transmission
  • 150,000 miles

I went to Rooster Bush Chevrolet in Morganton NC 28655, on March 14,2015. The car had to go in the shop before I left. Been in the shop 8 times and the Transmission is pulling like it's coming out and when you turn the wheel it sounds bad. Went to the dealership and one of the Head Manager pushed me and got in my face and done bad, nothing was ever done about that. They the Corp office they done drives with me they never have. Don't bring it in on the week ends because the don't want to give a rental car.. I have had so many problems with this car. paid $23,000. and now I owe $21,000 and the car not worth but $12,000. Went to trade it.

SRX

  • Automatic transmission
  • 64,000 miles

I purchased this Cadillac last year in June. 3 days after purchase I began having issues with the transmission or engine (not sure which one) At times it will not accelerate, the RPMS will go clear to 5 but only going 8mph. I have taken it to the dealership at least 5-8 times and they are unable to validate the concern! I fear for my safety and the safety of my 2 children. Just this morning I was driving my 5 year old to school with her 2 year old sister on the highway and it would not accelerate, I had to put on my hazards and pull to side of road(we almost were hit). I took it to the dealership just last week but they say the vehicle is running fine. It is not running fine. There aren't any warning lights that come on and they are unable to validate my concern.

Update from Aug 24, 2016: I had to trade the vehicle in. They were never able to find the issue.

SRX Luxury 3.0L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 45,000 miles

When the car is at a complete stop and I press on the gas, the car transmission jumps or the vehicle jerks at the 2nd gear shift. The transition is not as smooth as the other gear shifting. I have raised my complaints to multiple dealerships and GM, but no one can fix the problem. The transmission was reset (according to the techs) and the excuse I was given is the transmission is trying to learn my driving. How can that be at almost 2 years later. If this issue persist I will never buy another Cadillac again because I have spent endless days and nights without a car for a diagnostics to get nothing!

SRX Luxury 3.0L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 21,000 miles

The sudden hesitation and lost of power occurred on the Interstate at speeds of 70 miles mph.(Scarred wife and passengers). I took the SRX to Cadillac dealer. They explained the transmission is learning your driving style but would test drive it and said they could not duplicate problem. Next time it happened at 35 miles and same 3 or 4 second hesitation occurred. It's as if the cars transmission goes into a lower gear.

.

After driving for 50 plus years throughout US on company business, It's my judgement that this problem is extremely dangerous, not only for me but my family so much so, that I copied this message and sent it to my Lawyer in case something would happen driving this Cadillac. My next action when this intermittent problem occurs is to take it to another Cadillac dealer and see if they have an answer. If not, I will raise the issue with GM and drive our other car.
