sunroof leakage

This is the 3rd time the back lift panel has shorted out leaving it useless!!! The car has been in the shop more times than I care to remember. My guys will not touch it anymore, leaving me no choice but to take it to Cadillac.

They want to charge me $160 just to look at it!!! From what I’m seeing online, this is a known issue with the sunroof drainage. At this point the car has mold growing on the seatbelts, the leather seats and even the doors!!!

In good conscience, I can’t sell this thing to someone else, but I’m DONE with it-this has been going on for 2 years!!!! I have been a loyal Cadillac owner- owned a BIG Cadillac(can’t remember the name, D something?,)

2005 CTS and this SRX-if Cadillac isn’t willing to do the right thing and take care of this known problem-I won’t buy another. Customer loyalty truly doesn’t seem to matter much anymore, so I have no other option than to look at other brands!!!

My uncle worked for GM his entire career -he would be so sad to know they don’t don’t stand behind their product!!!

I noticed my drivers side floor board flooding every time it rained, for about a month. No biggy, I'll shop vacuum it and have the windshield looked at. I had my windshield checked and was told my windshield was fine, that the sun roof drain was warped and cracked causing water to pour into the car flooding the floorboard and behind the dash board. The water damage to the floorboard and dash and fried the cars computer. It happens to be on the floorboard, and as I was driving down the road the day after my windshield check, the car shut down, steering wheel locked up, every light on the dash board was lit up and my pop-up Navigation was bouncing up and down.

I had it towed to my mechanic and he said he sees this "all the time" with the SRX and told me to take it to Cadillac. He also informed me that it's so expensive to repair, that my insurance may "total out" the vehicle. That didn't happen though. Instead, it cost me $4000.00 to fix it. The carpet had to be replaced on top of the computer board on the floor board that apparently controls just about everything on the car. A mechanic at Crest Cadillac in Frisco, Tx. told me "this happens all the time with the SRX." His response to my "why"? And "Why aren't they recalling it"? Was, "The Texas heat is too much for the material to handle". And "Haha, I guess they have to get a specific amount of complaints before they do that". I was so disgusted! Hey Cadillac, guess what... it gets freakin' hot in Texas, morons! Fix your s***! Sincerely, Cadillac Driver/Hater.

RE: Cadillac Division Case# 9-59217104306

Called Cadillac Customer Care at 1-800-333-4223 spoke with Catina / 4.21.2020 at 4:13 PM and noted the following:

Advised that I received a “GM Recall Center” letter from Wakefield Cadillac in Spartanburg SC (864-582-4588) stating I had “incomplete” items needed to be fixed:

N140225 Sunroof Drain Hose Leaks

Cadillac refuses to repair what they know is wrong with the car. Drain hose leaks continually causes water leakage into the cabin, has corroded my lift gate module (cost $1357 to repair). I had no idea Cadillac put an expiration date on this faulty equipment fix; thus, they refuse to pay. Even my local Cadillac dealership admit issues are caused with poor drain hose products.
